    Make Deliveries

    This is the most common entry level job at CU Snacks. It's great to put some extra dough in your deflated pockets or to start working your way up the CU Snacks foodchain to a leadership position. Meet snackers all over campus, get some exercise biking through the neighborhood, and have fun! This position is the most flexible in terms of hours. Shifts are typically 3 hours (9-12, 11-2).


    Night Manager

    This job takes place entirely in the Snack Shack as night managers are in charge of the nightly operations of Snacks. Most night manager actually start out as delivery personnel, but occasionally an applicant has the management or customer service experience to be hired directly. As a night manager, you'll be planning delivery routes, answering customer questions, making fresh baked cookies, milkshakes, and grilled cheese sandwiches, and keeping the Snack Shack under control. You need to be able to keep your cool in a high stress environment.


    Flyering

    Easy, flexible, and good for a quick buck. CU Snacks is always spreading the good word by placing flyers and posters around campus and in residential halls, and we need people to help.


    Office Manager

    With great responsibility comes a bit more money. The office manager position is a great learning experience and a hot ticket to leadership roles at CU Snacks. Responsibilities include stocking inventory in the Snack Shack, keeping CU Snacks plentiful with supplies (paper, pens, spoons, etc), and tidying the Shack when it needs it. Applicants living in Wien Hall or East Campus are preferred for proximity reasons.


    Design

    Do you have mad skills on Photoshop or Illustrator? Can you design logos, marketing campaigns, or web layouts? CU Snacks is always looking for artistic talent to add a bit of flare to the business. Designing advertising flyers and producing inventory images are among the most common places to contribute initially.


    Web Programming

    Work with the managers and directors to implement new services and software features. Skills required: PHP, Perl, MySQL, Photoshop (design skills preferred but not necessary).



    Internships at Snacks

    Market Research

    The most innovative companies in the world get ideas from all around. Design methods to collect new ideas and suggestions for improvements. Find useful facts about customers and determine characteristics of our market. Analyze your data and make recommendations to the CU Snacks Board. This is where some of our most popular ideas have come from, like fresh baked cookies, grilled cheese sandwiches, bulk buys, and airheads!


    Marketing

    Ubiquitous flyers are so passé. Create new mechanisms for advertising, clever marketing campaigns, and catchy slogans. Design and implement promotional events and synergies with other campus groups.


    Financial Consultant

    Interested in a career in investment banking or consulting? Analyze the finances of CU Snacks, create projections, work on the budget, and communicate directly with the Center for Career Education. A great resume builder for those interested in business and finance. ^M



    Board Positions at Snacks

    Manager

    This is the highest role in the Columbia Student Enterprise hierarchy. The manager reports directly to the Center for Career Education and is responsible for the operations and development of the enterprise. Apply straight to CCE when the manager position opens up. Applicants from within CU Snacks strongly encouraged.


    Director

    A lot of work and creativity go into operating and developing a live business. Directors run a large part of the behind the scenes operation such as inventory management, web design and programming, hiring and training, innovating new products and services, and more.
    Current Director Roles: Inventory, Operations, Human Resources, Web development, Infrastructure.
