ABOUT CU SNACKS
Letter from the team
The CU Snacks team believes Columbia students have far too much experience being hungry late at night.
John Jay Dining Hall closes at 8:00pm and students don't fall asleep for another seven hours or more!
It's time there was a convenient late night option for nourishing the all-too-worthy Columbia undergrads.
Enter the world of CU SNACKS!
Snacks founders Jordan Davis (CC '05) and Brandon Arbiter (SEAS '06) entered a plan for the CU Snacks venture in the 2004 Columbia University Business Plan Competition, cosponsored by the Center for Career Education (CCE) and the Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs (CORE).
After months of development, proposals and pitches, CU Snacks was awarded seed money and the opportunity to become CCE's 5th Student Enterprise!
CU Snacks opened up its gates in the fall of 2004 and was instantly welcomed by the Columbia community.
Now in its fourth year, the young enterprise has had a full overturning of its founding members (meet them here), being passed on to a younger generation of snacking experts (meet them here).
CU Snacks has steadily grown from a fledgling business to a popular service for many Columbia students, from devoted customers who turn to no one else for their late night snacking needs to customers who occasionally need something brought to them without having to turn away from their books.
At CU Snacks, we are dedicated to serving our customers and meeting only the highest of expectations.
Our commitment is three-fold.
First, our all-student delivery staff will take the extra steps to make life easier for you.
With our exclusive swipe access delivery, we will bring your orders directly to your door!
Now all you and your roommate have to argue about is who gets up to turn the knob! (Or you can just leave the door ajar.)
Second, it is our intention to provide a variety of convenient job opportunities with flexible hours.
Whether you want a supplemental income to pay for an extra night on the town or business leadership experience that will demand a serious time commitment, look no further.
Check out our employment opportunities page to find out when you can come in for an interview!
Finally, we are committed to being a socially and environmentally responsible business.
Check out our environmental page to learn more about our environmentally concious products.
We are always looking for your input, so please give us as much feedback as you'd like, whether by e-mail, delivery feedback, or just stopping us on the street to tell us what you think.
We are listening!
Here's to a great year!
